\"\"Barbara Duffy<\/strong>\u2019s performance highlights include \u201cThe Gregory Hines Show\u201d<\/strong>, where she was a featured dancer, actress and choreographer, \u201cGala for The President\u201d<\/strong>, performing with Gregory Hines<\/strong> before President and Mrs. Bill Clinton<\/strong> and as dance captain and featured dancer in Brenda Bufalino\u2019s American Tap Dance Orchestra<\/strong>. Barbara performs as a featured soloist across the United States and overseas, including London\u2019s Queen Elizabeth Hall<\/strong>, where she was hailed as \u201ca riveting performer\u201d by the Independent<\/strong>. Her all women ensemble, Barbara Duffy & Company<\/strong> performed at the Duke Theatre<\/strong>, NYC<\/strong>, the<\/strong> Joyce Theater<\/strong>, NYC<\/strong>, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors<\/strong>, NYC<\/strong>, the University of Richmond<\/strong>, the Tanz Haus Theatre<\/strong> in Dusseldorf<\/strong>, Germany<\/strong>, Jacob\u2019s Pillow<\/strong> and with Tony Waag\u2019s Tap City on Tour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Barbara received the \u201cRhythm World Award<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> for preserving and passing on the legacy of Leon Collins<\/strong>. She was also the recipient of the American Tap Dance Foundation\u2019s prestigious \u201cHoofer Award<\/i>\u201d<\/strong> and the New York National Tap Day Committee\u2019s \u201cFloBert Award\u201d<\/i><\/strong>.\u00a0 She holds a BA<\/strong> in Performing Arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A highly sought after teacher, Barbara has taught at numerous workshops and festivals in 20 countries and was on the faculty of Steps on Broadway<\/strong>, Broadway Dance Center<\/strong> and the American Tap Dance Foundation<\/strong>. She was a proud faculty member of the American Tap Dance Foundation\u2019s Tap Teacher Training <\/strong>program for 8 years.<\/p>\n

Barbara was featured as a dancer and actor in the short film, \u201cWhen Snow Falls\u201d<\/i><\/strong>, directed and choreographed by Anthony Morigerato<\/strong>, co-starring Ted Louis Levy<\/strong>. The film won the 2021 New York International Film Award for Best Musical and Best Director for a short film<\/strong>. It also won an honorable mention for Musical\/Dance Film<\/strong> from the 2021 Los Angeles Film Awards<\/strong>, as well as being chosen as the \u201cOfficial Selection\u201d of many other film festivals.<\/p>\n

Barbara\u2019s book, \u201cTap into Improv, A Guide to Tap Dance Improvisation\u201d<\/i><\/strong> is available on Amazon.com.
