Gisela Noguero

She began to dance classical as a child, but it was at the age of 13 that she discovered tap dancing at the La Sinera dance school in Arenys de Mar. Later she trained at the emblematic El Timbal school, and in 2008 she began her two-year studies. , with the company Tapeplas directed by Sharon Lavi. In 2017, she obtained the advanced level diploma of the international tap dance program of the Luthier school, directed by Guillem Alonso. She has also trained at international festivals such as Stockholm (2017 and 2019) and at schools such as Steps on Broadway in New York (2018). As a teacher she has been in the tap dance department at the Memory musical theater school, a history teacher at the Luthier school, and is currently a teacher at the SwingMaresme school in Mataró. Granted by the Generalitat, she has written her first book “Tap dance in Barcelona: the history of a community”. In 2020 she became part of the board of directors of the Tot pel tap association, and since 2021 she has organized the Maresme tap jams ”.
