Laia Molins

Laia teaches regularly at the Luthier Professional Tap Program at Escola Luthier Dansa.

Dancer, creator and teacher of tap dance, graduated in sociology at the University of Barcelona. Laia has been part of and collaborated in different shows and companies such as: Granollers Big Band; Locomotora Negra, Barcelona Rhythm Tap by Guillem Alonso, Djellaba Groove by Roxane Butterfly, Tapeplas by Sharon Lavi, and a duet with pianist Marco Mezquida, among others. She is currently part of: the Duo with the pianist Jofre Fité (Molins Fité Duo), her own show Perfiles directed by Jep Meléndez, and performs as a soloist in music groups (Gumbo Jazz Band and Men in Swing). She is also part of the musical Sonido Bestial from the Cía. Mambo Project, and the family show Van de Big Band with the Granollers Big Band.
From 2002-2020, she has been the president of the Tot pel Claqué Association and is currently the coordinator of the Barcelona Tap Jam. In 2019 she created the social entity, Ritmo y Compromís, a social transformation project that uses rhythm, movement and tap dancing to improve the quality of life of people at risk of social exclusion. As a pedagogue, she gives regular classes at the Luthier School in Barcelona, ​​and at the Núria Ventura School in St.Celoni, and is also a guest artist at different international events: France, Cuba, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, among others.
