Isabel Lasa is a dancer, teacher and cultural manager who has been trained in classical, contemporary, jazz and tap dance, broadening her knowledge with international tap dance references. She has worked with companies such as Tapeplas and the Sharon Lavi Company, experiences that have allowed her to develop as a professional performer and to learn about the dynamics and management of the stage sector.
She is a co-creator of the CabareTAp project, from which the show Caliu emerged, and has developed pedagogical proposals with musicians and other dancers, exploring interdisciplinary formats in which tap dance dialogues with live music and other movement languages, encouraging listening, improvisation and collective work. She was also coordinator of Luthier’s Young Tap Company, a project designed to support and empower young dancers.
In 2010 she was part of the jury of the Dansacat competition, promoted by the Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia to support new choreographic proposals.
She currently combines her teaching with the creation and development of TAPEAMELO, an educational project that uses tap dance as a creative learning tool adapted to different audiences and contexts.
